146 Pieces

What was I thinking when I started a project that needed 146 pieces, assembling and decorating.... well initial goal was to have it finished by tomorrow, but work and life have pushed my finishing touch a bit - buhu, would have loved to have entered itinto the Opus Gluei challenge, but I won't be able to finish it in time :o(

Most likely I will not be able to post the final result until next week, but this might give you a little hint:

What Your Mind Tells You....

Our trees does not look like this yet, but soon they will.

My mind always wanders off, when I see a tree like this: What does it look like in spring just before the leafs appear? How much shelter does the green branches provide when it rains? How beautiful is it dressed in autumn colors?

Then my eye spots the bench next to the tree. Like the tree, how many stories can the bench tell about the people who have sat there? Where they alone or did they have company? Were they happy, sad.. or? Did they just stare at the nature and let their mind wander too?

It might be cold and seem colourless - but the wandering mind changes it.

The Bag

Remember getting something when you were little, and the coolest thing was actually the box that the gift came in?? I remember getting something huge - honestly can not remember what it was - but that cardboard box was big enough for my parents to cut a door and a window in it, so I could use it as a minihouse that I could crawl into. Fascinating how boxes never seem to go out of fashion - saw a friend's boy go crazy with one a while ago.

Yesterday, it was not a box, that had my full attention, but this bag. Why?? I just love rubber ducks :o)

Immediate Drop Into Shopping Basket

Have you ever seen something, that ends up in your shopping basket less than 5 seconds after your spotted it?

I went by TIGER yesterday, as I knew they just launched some new origami paper in their shop. It was the drawing on the item and not the item itself that caught my attention. It looks like some of the street art that I have captured with my camera during some of my walks this year and made me smile. The item? Well it is a dish mat, which makes it a useful item :o)

October = Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Last year I received a card from a Danish friend with the above logo on the card. It was published by the Danish Cancer Society - and the message is alarming. 1 out of 9 is diagnosed with breast cancer.

Breast cancer has already shown it's ugly face in my family, and I am definately among those who supports this cause. Hopefully the scientists will one day be able to have a vaccine like the one for ovarian cancer - but if that hope is going to be turned into reality, more people needs to support this cause which way they can.

Fall - The Moment

Even though it is October, you might be lucky to catch some rays of sun - albeit it is important to remember a sweater.... it will help recharging the body's batteries much needed for the winter that is knocking on the door.

Maybe this is my UnderTheTuscanSun moment: when Frances Maye (played by Diane Lane) sits in her back yard sipping wine....... :o)
