New York Smiles

Well it is about the city making me smile - first up is the elevator sign. First I dismissed it as silly, only later to realize that the hotel elevators were extremely busy at times.

Looking out of the hotel room window for the first time ... WHOA!!! They sure do have big reptiles in New York City.

Until you have the full picture: simply a wall decoration at the Iguana restaurant/bar - I like that "little" detail ;o)

Beam Me Up Scotty

I bought this magnet in New York - when placing it on my Fridge the words "Beam me up Scotty" flew into my head. Guess I have been watching too many Star Trek movies :o)

Mickey Land

I have spent some time in Florida at visiting old friends - could not resist playing a little with my camera when I spotted Minnie and Mickey Mouse around the house. The first morning Minnie was sitting in her chair with sun beams on her.

I have spend many hours as a child watching and reading cartoons with Mickey and Minnie and enjoy their appearance in the house while just hanging out and relaxing.

M32

The M32 Series visited Copenhagen earlier this month, and I got to be part of the crew for a few days - not the boat's crew but assisting the organizers as they need the helping hands of local volunteers. Perfect sunny weather, extremely fast boats handled by very skilled sailors and on the water close to the races - who could ask for more.

The M32 can attract a good audience as they can come very close to the shore/harbor during the race allowing spectators to watch the whole thing without binoculars - and you do not need much boat knowledge to enjoy the sight and competition of the fast boats.

Always Looking Up

It has been a while since I have been blogging, so the next few days you will get a peak into, what I have been doing.

20 years ago, I went to The World Trade Center - The Top of the World to experience the spectacular view of New York City. The visit was back then at the price of 8$

A lot have changed since then. The Twin Towers are sadly no more - but instead New York now have the One World Building with an observatory - the price to get up there a lot higher. One thing that have not changed: there is a spectacular view from the observatory.
