Where Did All the Snow Go?

... well it melted.... :o(  Hopefully we will get a new batch, so we can have our white Christmas. I did get a little snow in the shape of this sparkling card from Karen

Not only does this card have the cold winterly look outside, you should see the inside!!!

Karen, love those winter dies used inside and the glossy paper, can see that your Sizzix founds it's purpose to the fullest.

Got some goodies with this card, one of them in particular made me laugh and are now in use on my noteboard :o) Thank you Karen and Merry Christmas.

Rubber Duck Cake - Trial And Error

Purchased the cake pan a few months ago, as I simply had to own it... was then put on a shelve, as Christmas cookie cake cutters were in use for season.

Chocolate duckie after it is taken out of the pan......... looks funny, but seing the colors on the photo I actually like it. It looks a bit "mysterious" to me, but cake needs to cool down before fondant is mounted, as the cake would otherwise be sweating.

Note to self: remember to buy white and black fondant to make proper eyes (cheating here, as eyes are paper). First time ever working with fondant, so surprised about the result........used two different brands of fondant, on very sticky but the other easy to work with.... think I am ready to make the cakes to be served "in public" next week :o)

Rubber Duckie Day

Big smile on my face, when I discovered that January 13th is the Rubber Duckie Day :o)

Big duckie is actually a radio, that I stumpled across at Urban Outfitters, and it was "just" one of those must-haves - it works, so I can listen to morning music while showering. The rewindable duckie is a travel buddy - one never knows if there is a bathtub in the hotel room. Buttom to the left duckie is a keychain/light - if you activate the light he QUACKS!! The littlelest (does that word even exist?) one is just miniature.

I have a 5th duckie (not on display here) - a soap duckie, which I have never taken out of the wrapping, I know I will just start using it, if I did....

Have an idea, what you are thinking now - and my answer is "No, I never think that I will ever grow up - But please don't tell my parents ;o) **LOL*

The Bag

Remember getting something when you were little, and the coolest thing was actually the box that the gift came in?? I remember getting something huge - honestly can not remember what it was - but that cardboard box was big enough for my parents to cut a door and a window in it, so I could use it as a minihouse that I could crawl into. Fascinating how boxes never seem to go out of fashion - saw a friend's boy go crazy with one a while ago.

Yesterday, it was not a box, that had my full attention, but this bag. Why?? I just love rubber ducks :o)

Eat Your Rubber Duck

Wait!!! Don't do that! - Unless it is a cupcake one :o) *LOL*

So I have this little thing for rubber ducks - and they also comes in the shape of a candle, keychain, miniature, bathroom radio, "plain" rubber ducks and the ones you can wind up so it paddles around in the bath tub. Last year for my birthday, I got a chocolate one from one of my best friends bought in a chocolaterie.

This picture is from Gwen's blogpost - click on the picture and you will be
directed to her blog
Look at these yummi rubber duck cupcakes made by Gwen, whose blog I started reading because of her inchie-a-day project.... I just had to share it with you and on her blogpost she shows us step-by-step how she made them.

After having read her blogpost, I think I better hide my rubber ducks so my mind mistakenly does not think, that they are cupcakes ;o)
